Shane Melniz is a member of the Melniz family and is likely the most famous member of said family. Shane Melniz appears in several stories, and his legacy lives on long after his death. He is first introduced as a socially awkward and grumpy student in the story Alien Academia. In the story, he is victorious over two Martian terrorists but ends the story on a sad note, regretting their deaths. Shane chooses to become a Solite in order to maintain peace in the known galaxy and prevent such deaths.
Shane becomes friends with Daniel Georges despite their one-time enmity, and both become Solites. Daniel and Shane are mentioned to have worked together for many years in the story Hidden Death. In which he defeats a Stelloid with the help of Hoshea Whitmer.
Shane Melniz appears in many more stories after, including an example of his ‘everyday’ Solite work in Killer Cohort. Shane’s legacy is mentioned by his grand-nephew, Aden Melniz, who runs a security company, in the story High Summit. Shane is also famous for his defeat of the Death Commander and his ending of the Stelloid invasion with the help of another of his friends, Levi Lunum.
Shane Melniz’s legacy surpasses that of even the first great commanding general, Tyler Corik; he is one of the most noteworthy characters in the ASA series.
