Jacob Glissan is the first member of the Georges family mentioned in the ASA storyline (Jacob’s son changed the family name to Georges so as to hide his connection to his criminal father). He was first mentioned in the story Station Gen. II. Jacob Glissan (who also went under the name of Alfred Glissan when he was sabotaging an outer rim station) was an Earthite terrorist and a member of the Earthite college. He attempted to stop the research station he was on from developing a lightspeed engine for the ASA. The Earthites wanted to stop the research on the engine, claiming that humanity wasn’t supposed to travel to other planets.
Jacob Glissan was the great-grandfather of Daniel Georges, who mentions him briefly as being alive during the story of Alien Academia. During the conversation involving his ancestor, Daniel hints at the fact that Jacob is still an Earthite, even if he is old, but that Daniel himself finds the Earthite teachings strange.
Jacob Glissan is not often mentioned during the ASA stories, and when he is, it is often in reference to Tyler Corik.
